Fonte immagine: MASE Rome February 9, 2017 – UNIDO, (United Nations Industrial Development Organization), has published a tender for the supply and installation of machinery, supplies and components to support two Refrigerant Recovery Centers in Mexico, Ecofrigo Centro de Acopio y Reciclado and Silver Breeze. The improvement of the capacity of these two Centers represents one of the measures introduced by Mexico in the second Phase of its National Plan for the Hydrochlorofluorocarbons Elimination, (HCFC). The objective is to contribute to the reduction of the demand for virgin HCFC-22 and to facilitate the achievement of the objectives for the reduction of ozone-depleting substances in the framework of the Montreal Protocol.

In 2014, Mexico was the first developing country to receive the second phase approval of the HCFC Elimination Plan, (HPMP), from the Executive Committee of the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol, which commits it to reduce the consumption of HCFCs by 2022 by 67.5% compared to 2009-2010.

The tender is promoted in coordination with the Government of Mexico and with the support of the Italian Ministry of the Environment, which has allocated a portion of its annual contribution to the Multilateral Fund to support this project.

The call expires on March 17, 2017. The notice can be downloaded from the page
